Mac OS X Compatibility

Mac did a similar thing to Windows and introduced a comprehensively different Operating System when they made OS X. To use the Classic environment, you must have a Mac OS 9 System Folder installed on your computer, either on the same hard disk as Mac OS X, or on another disk or disk partition.

Windows 2000 Professional

Whilst Microsoft are pulling the plug on this operating system and not supporting it any longer, we still believe it is the best OS ever made. The main reason for this is that it is a reliable solid operating system without the needless 'thrills' that were added for Windows XP and Vista. It was essentially built around Windows NT technology, which was the business standard OS so this means it hardly ever crashes.

One thing that Microsoft did recently was to stop Windows Defender being installed on Windows 2000. Below is a workaround:

1. Download Orca (Microsoft's MSI editor) and install it.
2. Download Windows Defender.
3. Use Orca to open the Windows Defender msi setup file.
4. Find the "Launch Condition" item.
5. Find the "VersionNT > 500" value and cut it out.
6. Save the modified file.
7. Run the installer.
