Lost Mind of Dr Brain 3 / Time Warp of Dr Brain 4 Information

Please follow the instructions included to install the game but if asked please refuse the Sierra system test. This test is no longer required for modern computers and could stop the game installation from continuing.

If you attempted to install the game with the Sierra system test then you will have to delete the file associated with the system test which is called sierra.ini before you try to install the game again.

To delete the file please do the following:

  • Press Start on your Desktop
  • Select Search
  • Select All files and folders
  • Type in sierra.ini
  • Once it finds the file, right click on the file and select delete. (If it only finds a file called sierra or you find several files called sierra then delete them anyway)

    • Once you have done this then restart your computer. You can then install the game (without the sierra test).

    Once the game is installed, if you are using XP or Vista then you need to set your display to 256 colors. To make the program do this automatically please follow the instructions below:

    1. Press Start on your Desktop
    2. Select All Programs
    3. Select Sierra Edutainment and Right Click on The Lost Mind of Dr Brain
    4. Select Compatibility
    5. Select Run in Windows 95
    6. Select run with 256 colors  
    7. Click Apply then Click Ok

    You can then start the game using the Program Icon you just modified.
