An Elder Scrolls Legend: Battlespire was designed to run in DOS, which is only on Windows 95/98 operating systems. If you are using Windows XP then one of the ways to get it working is using a DOS Emulator. One such Emulator is called DOSBox. The best version of DOSBox to use is the CVS Version.

Once you have downloaded DOSBox CVS then install Battlespire and patch it with the latest V1.5 Patch. To patch the game double-click on the batpat15.exe file you download.

You are now ready to Play the game! To Play Battlespire please do the following:
Download the Custom DOSBox patch

Once you have download it then:
1. Copy play.bat into your game directory (should be called batspire)
The Game should now work on Windows XP
IMPORTANT NOTE A
We have designated C: as the hard drive and D: as the CD-Rom drive in DOSBox CVS. If you need to change these to suit your computer then alter the following lines at the bottom of the DOSBox.conf file :
mount D D:\ -t cdrom

If you have problems running the game using the Custom DOSBox Patch then try running it the conventional way as follows:
1. Start DOSBox CVS
2. Start DOSBox
3. Type cd batspire and press Enter
4. Type play.bat and press Enter

3. Type spire and press Enter
